Randall Scagliotti, DVM, MS, DACVO

Dr. Scagliotti is a 1973 University of California, Davis graduate who interned at the Boston's Angell Memorial Animal Hospital. He received his master's degree in Comparative Pathology from the University of California, Davis and remained on the clinical faculty until he became board certified in veterinary ophthalmology in 1977. Dr. Scagliotti served as President of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists from 1992-93 and was editor of the first edition of ACVO's "Ocular Disorders Proven or Suspected to be Hereditary in Dogs." He has authored eight ophthalmology chapters as well as numerous papers and lectures internationally. For 31 years, Dr. Scagliotti served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of California, Davis College of Veterinary Medicine, where he held the title of Associate Clinical Professor. In 2008, he was awarded the University of California-Davis Veterinary Medical School's Highest Honor, The Alumni Achievement Award. His special interests are diseases of the orbit, neuro-otology and neuro-ophthalmology, of which he is considered one of the world's authorities.
